Happy Saturday, Crafty Friends! Priscilla here from Nubble Light Designs. Today’s birthday card features digital succulent images which were so easy to add to an A2 card format. And that’s the biggest advantage of any digi stamp. They can be resized before being printed, thus giving far more flexibility and many creative opportunities. You can print them out and use them on cards, gift tags, or many people use them for scrapbooking and journaling. And they don’t require storage on your craft room shelf, to boot!
Does the background look like real alcohol inks flowing together? It’s not! I used a new paper pad called “Getting Inky” from The Rabbit Hole Designs instead.
I used Joy Clair’s My Succulents Digital Stamps to make today’s card. The set features 7 succulents and 2 fabulous sentiments for many occasions.
Card Details:
- Created an A2 landscape card base using white smooth card stock.
- Added a deep purple cardstock layer over it.
- Sized the 3 digital succulent images to fit an A2 card, printed then out, and colored them with Copic Markers.
- Cut the images out using my Brother “ScanNCut” machine.
- Printed out the sentiment “Happy Birthday” from Joy Clair’s Spring Bouquet Slimline Digital Set onto a piece of the “Getting Inky” paper, cut the paper slightly smaller than the card base, and adhered it to the purple layer.
- Added the 3 succulent images, foam mounting the smallest one for some added dimension.
- Added 3 “Mermaid Tail” pearls for the finishing touch.
