The March Monthly Stamp Club stamp from Brutus Monroe was this adorable hippo just begging to be inked up and placed on a fun background of coordinating patterned papers. I loved how clean & simple the card turned out, with versatile uses from a birthday to “just because.”
I stamped the hippo with Altenew “Desert Night“ ink onto a Lawn Fawn stitched circle die cut using Papertrey Ink’s comic strip paper collection (the polka dot). I used a coordinating paper from the same collection as a background on an A2 size card base. Blue enamel dots and Doodlebug goggly eyes finished off this card.
I couldn’t resist creating a matching envelope for our hippo friend, so I lined the flap with the same Papertrey Ink polka dot that I used on the die cut circle around the hippo.
I hope you enjoy today’s card!
