Hi Everyone, it’s Priscilla here. Today I have a card that “sends hugs” to a friend you’ve been thinking about, featuring the new Joy Clair digital stamp set, “Make a Wish,” illustrated by Lindsay Adreon.
This is a celebration digital set that includes 6 party images and 3 sentiments.
Here are the steps I followed in designing this card:
- I created a “slimline-size” card base (8.5″ x 7″ (scored at 3.5″) out of black card stock.
- I die cut a black frame from glitter card stock using two of the Trinity Stamps “Slimline Card Series: Stitched Card Panels and Windows” dies.
- On my computer, I manipulated the large present image and the “Celebrate” sentiment to create a “Clean & Simple” arrangement on my screen.
- I printed out these combined graphics on white card stock and die cut it, again using one of the Trinity Stamps “Slimline Card Series: Stitched Card Panels and Windows” dies to create the top panel.
- Using a stencil from my stash and gold embossing paste, I created the firework images.
- I colored all the ribbons with a dark gray Spectrum Noir marker.
- For the finishing touch, I added a little Nuvo “Crystal Glaze” to the fireworks for a clean and simple birthday card.
