“Christmas in July” Wrap Up with Joy Clair Designs

I am happy to be participating in the Joy Clair Designs Christmas in July Wrap Up!

For my card today, I used Joy Clair’s Holly Jolly Santa Digital Set.

This was such a fun digital set to work with! My idea was to create a “vintage” Christmas card, so after creating an A2 -sized landscape background in “PicMonkey,” a photo editing and design program, I printed out the sentiment only (“Have a . . . .”) on Kraft card stock to give the card that “aged” feel. Then I did the following:

  1. Colored the holly berries and leaves with Spectrum Noir markers.
  2. Printed out the Santa and his “Ho Ho Ho” bag on Kraft paper and used my Brother “Scan n Cut” to cut them out.
  3. Colored these images with Spectrum Noir markers also.
  4. Created a snow drift for the bottom of the card and shaded it in gray tones.
  5. Adhered all pieces to the A2 card panel and added some glitter and gloss on several areas.

Easy Peasy!

I hope you enjoyed today’s card. Make sure to visit the Joy Clair Designs blog post for their “Christmas in July Wrap Up.”

Stay Safe . . .
