I am happy to be participating in the Joy Clair Designs Christmas in July Wrap Up!
For my card today, I used Joy Clair’s Holly Jolly Santa Digital Set.
This was such a fun digital set to work with! My idea was to create a “vintage” Christmas card, so after creating an A2 -sized landscape background in “PicMonkey,” a photo editing and design program, I printed out the sentiment only (“Have a . . . .”) on Kraft card stock to give the card that “aged” feel. Then I did the following:
- Colored the holly berries and leaves with Spectrum Noir markers.
- Printed out the Santa and his “Ho Ho Ho” bag on Kraft paper and used my Brother “Scan n Cut” to cut them out.
- Colored these images with Spectrum Noir markers also.
- Created a snow drift for the bottom of the card and shaded it in gray tones.
- Adhered all pieces to the A2 card panel and added some glitter and gloss on several areas.
Easy Peasy!
I hope you enjoyed today’s card. Make sure to visit the Joy Clair Designs blog post for their “Christmas in July Wrap Up.”
Stay Safe . . .
