Hi Everyone, it’s Priscilla here. Today I want to share two slimline cards I made for the Kat Scrappiness Blog featuring beautiful, framed nighttime “cityscape” views.
For my first card, I used the new “Layered Cityscape” slimline die set, which includes a die that cuts the buildings and windows, and a second background layer die that goes underneath to the show lights in the buildings. I die cut the buildings out of black card stock and backed them with orange card stock. I blended several distress oxide inks to create the nighttime sky and used a stencil and gold embossing paste to create the fireworks. I framed the whole scene in black using the largest of the “Tri-Frame” dies and gold embossed a “Celebrate” sentiment die to complete this card.
For my second card, I used the background layer of the “Cityscape” die set and cut it out of black glitter card stock. I die cut the nighttime sky using the largest of the new “Distressed Edge Nesting Slimline Dies” and blended several distress oxide inks before and splattering it with gold “Perfect Pearls” for that hazy and mysterious look.
I added a die cut moon from my stash and finished the card with the “Love You to the Moon and Back Brush Script Word Die” die cut twice – from gold and sliver card stocks – and then layered together. I added Kat’s “Sparkling Clear Jewels” for the finishing touch to the sky.
Thank you so much for stopping by! Don’t forget to check out what’s NEW in Kat’s Shop, and follow my blog and Instagram for more “Kat Scrappiness Amazingness”!
