Hello Crafty Friends! Priscilla here from Nubble Light Designs. Today I am sharing a quick and easy birthday card for a friend using Kat’s new “Birthday Quokka Die Cut 44-Piece Ephemera Collection”. It’s so easy to simply tuck these adorable (and ready made) quokkas and their party decorations into Kat’s new “Tucked in Cloud Border Craft Die”.
Along with the Kat Scrappiness new Birthday Quokka Die Cut 44-Piece Ephemera Collection and the Tucked in Cloud Border Craft Die, Kat’s Birthday Quokka paper pad and the Rainbow Heart Confetti Sprinkle Mix added the finishing touches!
Card Details:
- Created an A2 top-folding white card base.
- Blended a layer of white cardstock with four shades of Distress Oxide inks to create a sky background before splattering it with white acrylic paint.
- Die cut 2 layers of clouds using the new Kat Scrappiness Tucked in Cloud Border Craft Die and sponged gray ink on them to create shadows.
- Adhered the layered clouds and a strip of green patterned paper from Kat’s Birthday Quokka paper pad below the sky before adhering the finished layer on to the card base.
- “Tucked in” several elements from the Birthday Quokka Die Cut Ephemera Collection into the Tucked in Cloud Border die cuts using a dab of adhesive behind each.
- Foam mounted the “Happy Birthday” banner at the top of the scene.
- Stamped the “My Dear Friend” sentiment from the Friendship Greetings stamp set with red ink on white cardstock, framed it with red cardstock, and adhered it to the bottom of the cards.
- Added three hearts from the Rainbow Heart Confetti Sprinkle Mix for the finishing touch!
