Today I am trying my hand at my first Ellen Hutson Pin-Sights Challenge. This challenge is based on a color trend inspirational photo chosen to jump start any designer’s imagination and creativity! The Pin-Sights Challenge projects need to be designed with Essentials by Ellen products and with the colors that appear in the photo.
Here is the color palette for March. I love the bright, bold colors!

I started this card by taping Therm O Web’s“icraft Purple Tape” across the bottom third of a watercolor cardstock panel. I sprayed the panel below the tape with a little water before adding drops of several Dr. Ph. Martin’s“Hydrus Watercolors” to match the colors in the color palette. I let the colors dry naturally before moving on to the top of the card.

Next, I die cut several blossoms out of Crafter’s Companion’s “Black Luxury Effect Glitter Cardstock” using the Essentials by Ellen“Bold Blossoms” die set and arranged and adhered them to the top of the card. I cut a narrow strip of the same black glitter cardstock and adhered it above the watercolors.

I finished the card with 3 black enamel dots before adhering the panel to an A2-sized Neenah110# white cardstock base. I love how clean & simple the card turned out!

I hope you enjoyed today’s card!
