Happy Monday! Priscilla here from Nubble Light Designs. Today I am sharing an adorable summer birthday card perfect for a friend who loves everything “mermaid.” Plus it’s got an “ocean” vibe with soft ink blending, a jelly fish, starfish, and, of course, bubbles!
I used Joy Clair’s Seas the Day clear stamp set (currently in the “Last Call” section, so don’t hesitate) to make today’s card.
Card Details:
- Created an A2 card base using white smooth card stock.
- Using Distress Inks, ink blended “Dried Marigold,” “Picked Raspberries,” “Seedless Preserves,” “Villainous Poison,” and “Black Soot” to create an underwater scene on white cardstock.
- Using a stencil, created rising bubbles with white “Picket Fence” Distress Ink.
- Stamped several images and the sentiment, “happy birthday for shore” from the Seas the Day stamp set with black pigment ink and then heat set with clear embossing powder.
- Created a bright frame layer by sponging “Picked Raspberries” on the edges of a card layer slightly smaller than the card base.
- Adhered all layers together before adding five clear bubble embellishments for the finishing touch.
