Happy Thursday, Crafty Peeps! Priscilla here from Nubble Light Designs. Today I am sharing a retirement card for the camper in your life! What better way to say “I’m Done” than a solitary tent in the woods against a star-filled night sky.
I used the new Kat Scrappiness Let’s Go Camping Die to make today’s card.
This set is so fun for camping enthusiasts! Included are sixteen dies that create a layered tent, tree, sign, and campfire.
Card Details:
- Created an A2 top-folding white card base.
- Using one of the Kat Scrappiness Embossed Edge Square Dies, created an opening in a white linen cardstock layer.
- Sponged several shades of blue Distress Inks on the square piece remaining and splattered with white acrylic paint.
- Die cut a hill and trees out of brown cardstock using one of the A2 Stitched Hills Die and the tree die from the Crafters Essentials Halloween Die set.
- Punched out a small moon from yellow cardstock.
- Die cut a tent using the Let’s Go Camping Dies.
- Assembled and adhered all die cuts to create a nightime camping scene.
- Strung Gold Jingle Bells with gold thread and adhered them to the tree limbs.
- Adhered the finished scene inside the square opening and adhered this top layer to the white card base.
- Stamped and gold embossed the sentiment “Happy Retirement” from the Happy Day Stamp Set, die cut out using a stitched rectangular die, and adhered to the bottom right corner of the card.
