Happy Monday, Crafty Peeps! Priscilla here from Nubble Light Designs. Today I am sharing a card perfect for a summer birthday! This nautical-theme card was created using several Kat Scrappiness stamps and dies.
I used the newly released Kat Scrappiness Friends Under the Sea Stamp Set/Dies, the coordinating 6×6 Paper Pad, and several dies to make today’s card.
Card Details:
- Created an A2 top-folding portrait card base using navy blue cardstock.
- Using the A2 Quilted Backdrop Die and white cardstock, created a slightly smaller top layer to adhere over the card base.
- Created a zig zag white heart shape using the the largest of the Zig Zag Heart Dies.
- Die cut a heart from the wave patterned paper in the Friends Under the Sea 6×6 Paper Pad and again from the dotted patterned paper in this pad using the largest of the Layered Nested Heart Dies.
- Replaced the top left part of the wave patterned heart with a slightly smaller piece from the dotted patterned paper and adhered them both over the zig zag heart, leaving a white border between the 2 patterns.
- Adhered the completed heart image to the front of the card.
- Stamped and die cut the whale from the Friends Under the Sea Stamp Set/Dies, colored it with Copic Markers, and adhered it over the heart image.
- Stamped 2 of the sentiments from the the same set using navy ink on white cardstock and added them to the front of the card.
- Added 3 pearls from the Caribbean Blue Pearl Mix for the finishing touch!
