Holiday Cards Using Shaker Card Kits

Hi Everyone, it’s Priscilla here. Today I have three Halloween and Thanksgiving shaker cards from the just released “Shaker Card Kits” line from Kat Scrappiness. These shaker kits include everything you’ll need to create a shaker card quickly and easily.

My first card is a Halloween one that features the new “Framed Dome Window Shaker Card Kit.”

I had a blast “Halloween-izing” this shaker kit with black acrylic paint and white distress wood lines for the window frame. Every window needs some curtains, right?  I used orange tulle to create the drapes and filled the shaker with Kat‘s “Hocus Pocus” sequin mix. The skeleton, cat, and sentiment are all from Kat‘s “Toil & Trouble” stamp set.

My second card is a spider web-infested Halloween card, complete with a skeleton head and dingy, torn “wallpaper” around a “mirror.”

I used the “Medium Oval Shaker Card Kit” to create the mirror, and then added some spider patterned acetate behind it in lieu of the piece of acetate that comes in the kit. I filled the oval with Kat‘s new “All Hallows ‘Eve” sequin mix. The skeleton head was stamped and colored from the Kat Scrappiness “Toil & Trouble” stamp set..

Let’s change things up with a Thanksgiving card this time! I used the “House with Chimney Shaker Card Kit” and covered it with wood patterned paper from ModaScrap, and then filled the shaker element with Kat’s “Apple Sprinkles.”

To create the background, I used a green print paper from Lawn Fawn’s “Fall Fling Petite Paper Pack,” the tree die from Kat‘s “Crafters Essentials-Fall” die set, and one of the cloud dies from the “He is Risen” die set. Kat’s “Happy Thanksgiving Brush Script Word & Sentiment Die” was the finishing touch on the roof.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Don’t forget to check out what’s NEW in Kat’s Shop, and follow my blog and Instagram for more “Kat Scrappiness Amazingness”!
