This week’s “Color Throwdown Challenge” colors were red, white, and blue —  perfect for this Memorial Day weekend. I decided to use these colors in a bit of a nontraditional setting — a Yoga studio!

I was excited to finally use Penny Black’s “Breathe” stamp set with their “Wood Floors” die. I started by die cutting the planked floor and baseboard with a soft blue cardstock, “Buckaboo Blue,” from Stampin’Up!, and then “distressed” them with Simon Says Stamp’s white pigment ink, before adhering them to the bottom of a white card stock layer.

I stamped and colored the Yoga Girl with Zig “Clean Color Real Brush Markers” before fussy-cutting her out and adhering her to the studio floor. I finished the front of the card by stamping the “Breathe” sentiment (from the stamp set) right about her head.

The white card front was adhered to a layer of Simon Says Stamp’s “Lipstick Red” cardstock and then adhered to a card base of Neenah 110# white cardstock.

I love how clean, simple, and “calming” this card looks!

I hope you enjoyed today’s card.
