June’s Copic Markers color choices were at first a challenge. I’m not a “purple gal” at all! But when this project was all said and done (i.e. colored), I loved how it turned out! And the Ellen Hutson Essentials “Mondo Sakura” image looks so dramatic overlaying Penny Black’s “Isabelle” portrait image to boot!

This month’s Copic colors were 2 shades of purple, V91, “Pale Grape” and V15, “Mallow” plus YG63, “Pea Green.” I stamped and colored the new Mondo Sakuraflower image onto white cardstock with these 3 colors and fussy-cut it out.

Then I stamped the Penny Black “Isabelle” cling stamp on to a piece of 5 x 7 white cardstock. Both pieces of cardstock were Gina K’s “Pure Luxury Cardstock”, perfect for stamping and Copic coloring.

Finishing touches? I used both shades of the purple Copic markers to fill in Isabelle’s lips and eyes. Next I stamped the “Beautiful” sentiment included in the “Mondo Sakura” stamp set in purple ink and then heat embossed it with Brutus Monroe’s ultra-fine embossing power in “Icicle”.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card!
