Hey Crafty Peeps! Priscilla here from Nubble Light Designs. Spellbinders recently presented me the opportunity to create some projects using their new Sealed by Spellbinders (Wax Seals) Collection. This collection is perfect for those who love creating and want to add the extra flair of a wax seal on their handmade cards, envelopes, and invitations.

I picked out and received three dies and then purchased on my own the Wax Seal Starter Kit. This kit  includes five pieces:

  • Wax warmer (You will need a tea light candle – not included.)
  • Wax bead warmer spoon
  • One 1″  wax seal stamp with handle
  • 100 wax beads
  • 10 x 7-inch silicon mat to protect your surface.

I have two cards to show you today.

Details:

  • Created an A2 portrait white card base.
  • Die cut a slightly smaller piece of buffalo check plaid patterned paper and set aside.
  • Die cut 2 twine pieces from Kraft cardstock and the leaf sprigs from olive green and gold cardstock.
  • Adhered the die cuts to the patterned paper, making sure to wrap the ends of the twine around to the back of the patterned paper before adhering it to the card base.
  • Created a gold wax seal using the contents of the Spellbinders Wax Seal Starter Kit and adhered it over the twine and sprig die cuts.
  • Gold heat embossed “Merry Christmas” onto white cardstock and framed it in olive green cardstock.

Card #2

Details:

  • Created an A2 portrait white card base.
  • Using a brick face embossing folder, created a textured background on white cardstock.
  • Die cut the ginkgo stems and leaves and one of the leaves from the  Sealed Leaf Sprigs Etched Dies from royal blue and silver cardstocks and adhered to the front of the card.
  • Created a silver wax seal using the contents of the Spellbinders Wax Seal Starter Kit and adhered it over ginkgo stems.
  • Silver heat embossed “Happy Birthday” onto white cardstock and framed it in royal blue cardstock.
  • Added 3 silver sequins for a finishing touch!
