Two for One! – Creating a Bookmark Birthday Card

Happy Friday, Crafty Peeps! Priscilla here from Nubble Light Designs. Today I am sharing a birthday card perfect for a book lover in your life! They’ll love the removable bookmark on the front of the card that features an adorable quokka.  I used several Kat Scrappiness products to make today’s card.

I created this card with the Kat Scrappiness Everyday Quokka Stamp Set/Dies, the Stitched Scalloped Nesting Tag Craft Dies, and the Cuppa Love 6×6 Paper Pad.

Card Details:

  • Created an A2 top-folding cardstock using brown cardstock.
  • Cut a smaller layer out of gold cardstock and adhered it to the brown card base.
  • Cut an even smaller plaid layer out of Cuppa Love 6×6 Paper Pad and adhered it over the gold layer.
  • Cut a diagonal pocket from gold cardstock and polka dot paper and adhered them to the bottom left corner of the card.
  • Created a bookmark tag using one of the Stitched Scalloped Nesting Tag Craft Dies and brown cardstock.

  • Layered the tag with the same papers as the base card.
  • Stamped and die cut the quokka and the book and colored them with Copic markers.
  • Punch a hold in the top of the tag and tied aqua yarn at the top.
  • Inserted the finished tag into the pocket so it can be removed and used as a bookmark.

  • Stamped “Happy Birthday” on white cardstock and adhered it to the front of the pocket.
