Can you believe I am still creating cards with the Simon Says Stamp November card kit? There is something about this kit that speaks to me – maybe it’s the color combo of khaki, pink, and green, or maybe it’s the gorgeous “Kind Flowers” stamp set that comes in the kit. Either way, I continue to be drawn to it still . . . in April. LOL!

I stamped the large flower image featuring “KIND” in VersaMark ink and heat embossed it in Ranger’s gold embossing powder before coloring it using green, pink, brown, and gold ZIG “Clean Color Waterbrush Pens” and then fussy cutting it out.  The card base was Neenah solar white 110# cardstock, on which I adhered two of the patterned papers from the Pebbles “Heart of Home” collection that came in the kit. The two papers were an unexpected combination to pair with one another, but I liked the bold look of it. A strip of Simon Says Stamp “Green Leaf” cardstock served as a striking transition between the two patterns.

I heat embossed the sentiment “You are One of a Kind” on dark chocolate cardstock (also from SSS) with the same Ranger gold embossing powder I used on the flowers. Finally, I foam mounted the flowers onto the front of the card, so they overlapped the green strip slightly. I highlighted the word “KIND” with ZIG’s “Wink of Stella” glitter pen, before finishing the card front with a few gold sequins.

Can’t forget to add an envelope! And this Simon Says Stamp “Khaki Woodgrain” envelope was the perfect complement to the tan background in the patterned paper on the front of the card.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card!
