Hello Crafty friends! Priscilla here from Nubble Light Designs. Today’s card features the adorable “Step Into Spring” die set from a Spellbinders Die of the Month Club collection! This playful and SIMPLE design pairs a bold black-and-yellow plaid background with a charming pair of Mary Jane patent leather shoes and sweet lace-trimmed socks. The sentiment, “We’re a Perfect Pair,” makes this card perfect for celebrating a special friendship, a thoughtful hello, or anyone who always helps you put your best foot forward. With its bright colors, graphic pattern, and whimsical details, this project proves that sometimes the cutest spring inspiration comes from what’s in your closet! Let’s take a closer look at how this fun fashion-inspired and very simple card came together.
🧰 Spellbinders Products Used
- “Step into Spring” Small Die of the Month Club (Currently on Clearance!)
- Classic White ColorWheel Cardstock.
📋 Card Details:
- Created an A2 card base with Spellbinders Classic White ColorWheel Cardstock.
- Adhered a black cardstock layer over it.
- Sponged black ink over yellow cardstock using a plaid stencil from my stash and then adhered it to the card base.
- Die cut the shoe and sock elements from the “Step into Spring” Small Die of the Month Club. using white and black metallic cardstocks and yellow patterned paper.
- Assembled the shoes and socks and adhered them to the front of the card.
- White heat- embossed the sentiment on black cardstock, framed it with yellow cardstock, and then foam mounted it above the shoes. So simple!
