My first coffee card is a salute to autumn.
I wanted to make the coffee cup sentiment from Kat’s “Let’s Get Caffeinated” stamp set be the focal point of this card. I think the embossed edge around the cup with one of Kat‘s new “Embossed Square Edge” dies gives it a more finished look. Behind the framed cup, I scattered leaves from the Lawn Fawn “Stitched Leaves” die collection that I had colored with various Distress Oxide inks. I added a few of Kat’s “Sparkling Clear Droplets” to the leaves for a “dewy” finished look.
My second card combines masculine and feminine elements –a bold, neutral plaid with white embossed flowers as a backdrop.
I created the coffee “to-go” cup using the Kat Scrappiness “Layered Coffee Cup” die. ” The sentiment, “Life happens . . . coffee helps” is again from Kat‘s “Let’s Get Caffeinated” stamp set. I used copper embossing powder and heat embossed it. The stamped florals in the background are from my stash and were white heat embossed, so they would “pop” on the chocolate brown card stock. Kat‘s “Brown Jewels” were the finishing touch.
My final card is a whimsical mix of patterned papers from my stash and Kat‘s “Layered Coffee Cup” die and her “Got Coffee” die sentiment.
I coordinated the background patterned paper with the the one I used on the coffee cut die cut. I love combining blue and brown when ever I can. I added three of Kat’s “Brown Jewels” around the “Got Coffee?” sentiment before calling this card “Done.”
