For the Super Heroes in Our Lives

Hello Crafty friends! Priscilla here from Nubble Light Designs. Today’s card is a little cosmic, a little magical, and full of heart. I created this 5″x7″ card using the Spellbinders March 2026 Small Die of the Month, “Unstoppable,” and Altenew‘s “To the Moon” stamp set to celebrate a friend who truly shines. For the background, I blended several Distress Inks to create a dreamy galaxy sky, complete with glowing moonlight and scattered stars—it’s the kind of night where anything feels possible. Our fearless heroine stands tall on her cloud, cape flowing, ready to take on the world (or at least brighten someone’s day!). With a soft shimmer, a bold silhouette, and a simple “You Are Super” sentiment, this card is all about reminding someone just how amazing they are—because let’s be honest… we all know a superhero in our lives. 💫

📋 Card Details:

  • Sponged randomly on this watercolor cardstock layer: Mustard Seed, Seedless Preserves, and Picked Raspberries Distress Inks.
  • Sponged Faded Jeans and Black Soot Distress Inks around the perimeter of the card.
  • Splattered water droplets all over the inked layer and dried it with a heat tool.
  • Splattered white acrylic paint and Lawn Fawn “Liquid Stardust” on top and dried it with a heat tool.
  • Created a moon beam by sponging White Picket Fence pigment ink from the top right corner to the center of the inked layer.
  • Adhered the inked watercolor panel to the A7 card base.

  • Die cut the “Super Women” image,  stars, cloud, and sentiment strip using Spellbinders “Unstoppable” die collection with black, white, silver, and rose gold cardstocks.
  • Assembled the “Super Woman” die cut figure.

  • Adhered the silver cloud to the card and adhered the “Super Woman” image to it.
  • Foam mounted the sentiment (one of 4 included in the die set) to overlap the cloud.
  • Stamp and foam mounted the moon (made from Altenew’s “To the Moon”  stamp set) to the top corner of the card.
  • Adhered the stars randomly on the card front.
  • Added Spellbinders “Gold Mix” Color Essential Gems to the cape for the finishing touch!
