What says “New Year’s Eve” better than gold and black and bubbly champagne? Happy Tuesday Crafty Friends! Priscilla here from Nubble Light Designs. Today I’m sharing a New Year’s card that features a star ornament filled with gold shaker elements.
I used the Kat Scrappiness Christmas Shaker Ornament Craft Dies and Nesting Fishtail Banner Dies to make today’s card.
Card Details:
- Created an A2 top-folding black cardstock base.
- Used the A2 Stitched Strips Craft Dies and gold cardstock to create a striped backdrop on the card front.
- Die cut two fishtail banners using black patterned paper and the Kat Scrappiness Nesting Fishtail Banner Dies and adhered to the front of the card.
- Created the star shaker using the Kat Scrappiness Christmas Shaker Ornament Craft Dies with gold cardstock and acetate for the window.
- Filled the star shaker with a combination of these sequins: Cheers Gold Sequin Mix, Gold Pearl Mix, and Sweetheart Valentine Sequin Mix.
- Tied a gold and black ribbon bow through the hole at the top of the ornament.
- Adhered the star to the front of the card.
- Stamped “Happy” and “New Year’s” from the “Happy Day” Stamp Set onto black cardstock using VersaMark ink and gold embossing powder.
- Adhered to the bottom corner and added a gold champagne embellishment and five 4mm Sparking Cleat Droplets for the finishing touch!
