What says “New Year’s Eve” better than gold and black and bubbly champagne? Happy Tuesday Crafty Friends! Priscilla here from Nubble Light Designs. Today I’m sharing a New Year’s card that features a star ornament filled with gold shaker elements.

I used the Kat Scrappiness Christmas Shaker Ornament Craft Dies and Nesting Fishtail Banner Dies to make today’s card.

Card Details:

Created an A2 top-folding black cardstock base.
Used the A2 Stitched Strips Craft Dies and gold cardstock to create a striped backdrop on the card front.
Die cut two fishtail banners using black patterned paper and the Kat Scrappiness Nesting Fishtail Banner Dies and adhered to the front of the card.
Created the star shaker using the Kat Scrappiness Christmas Shaker Ornament Craft Dies with gold cardstock and acetate for the window.
Filled the star shaker with a combination of these sequins: Cheers Gold Sequin Mix, Gold Pearl Mix, and Sweetheart Valentine Sequin Mix.

Tied a gold and black ribbon bow through the hole at the top of the ornament.
Adhered the star to the front of the card.
Stamped “Happy” and “New Year’s” from the “Happy Day” Stamp Set onto black cardstock using VersaMark ink and gold embossing powder.
Adhered to the bottom corner and added a gold champagne embellishment and five 4mm Sparking Cleat Droplets for the finishing touch!
