“Painting” Digital Images with Bleach

Hi Everyone, it’s Priscilla from Nubble Light Designs. Today I am on the Joy Clair Blog with another  Mother’s Day card. This time I used an image from the just released “Forever Moments” digital stamp collection and “painted” the floral image with regular household bleach. I love the way it came out!

To begin, I printed one of the floral image and the “Happy Mother’s Day” sentiment from the “Forever Moments” collection on red cardstock and then cut it down to fit a A2 card base.

For some added interest. I cut out a curved corner from red card stock and bleach it also, adding it to the bottom of my card.

Then I dipped a glass dip fountain pen into bleach, and CAREFULLY “painted” the floral image. Remember: less is more when using bleach. A tiny drop does the trick! Too much will bleed out past your image.

In a recent Instagram post for Joy Clair’s new release, “Ray of Sunshine,” I posted another card I did using the same bleaching technique. I used an image from the just released “You Make Me Proud” stamp collection.
