Nothing says “cuteness” like a quokka! A quokka (pronounced kwaa·kuh) is a short-tailed scrub wallaby from Australia. This little fella is known as the “World’s Happiest Animal”.
Happy Thursday Crafty Friends! Priscilla here from Nubble Light Designs. Today I’m sharing a Valentine”s Day featuring an adorable quokka holding a valentine for a friend.
I used the just released Kat Scrappiness Love Doodles stencil and Quokka Flowers stamp set and dies to make today’s card.
Card Details:
- Created an A2 top-folding white card base.
- Adhered a layer of black patterned paper to the card base.
- Die cut a piece of white cardstock using the Kat Scrappiness Distressed Edge Rectangle Craft Dies.
- Used the negative opening that was created with the Love Doodles stencil with white and red inks to create a background.
- Adhered the stenciled background to the card base.
- Stamped the quokka image from the Quokka Flowers stamp set using black Stazon ink on clear acetate and then die cut with the coordinating die.
- Adhered the quokka to the red background.
- Added a black patterned heart to his hands
- Stamped “Hello my friend” to the top left side of the card.
