Using Kat Scrappiness Sequins with the Gina K. Designs Wreath Builder

Hey Guys, I’m back on the Kat Scrappiness blog today, and it’s all about “building” wreaths with several of the Kat Scrappiness sequin collections and the Gina K. Designs “Wreath Builder” templates, which Kat sells in her store.

I started first by creating four wreaths using the larger template, plus a stamping platform, Distress Oxide inks, and some of the leaf and branch stamps that come with the various Gina K. Designs “Wreath Builder” stamp sets. I stamped them all on the Gina K. Designs “Wreath Builder Pre-Cut Cardstock” which fits perfectly inside the template opening. (Note I backed my wreath builder template with some black fun foam, which provides a sturdy stamping base in my stamping platform.)

Then it was just a matter of deciding which sequin collections to use on each wreath. :-). So many to choose from, but I narrowed it down to four collections.

I chose the “Christmas Cheer” sequin mix for this first wreath, as it matched perfectly with the background paper I selected for the card.

For all four cards, I stamped and heat embossed the “Merry Christmas” sentiment from Kat’s “Merry Critters” stamp  set in the center of  the wreaths.

For the next wreath, I used the “Sugarplum Fairies” sequin mix. It was perfect for this blue/purple stamped wreath!

For my third card, I combined sequins from the Kat ScrappinessBrown Jewels,Snow Flurries,” and some gold snowflakes from the “Christmas Cheer” collections.

And for my final card, I not only added red sequins from the “Christmas Cheer” sequin set, I also stamped and colored the wrapped present and the candy cane from the “Merry Critters” stamp set and added them to the center of the wreath. I added some ivory “Nuvo Crystal Drops” around the wreath for the perfect finishing touch.

Here are all four finished cards. Which one is your favorite?

Well, that’s all until next time . . . The supplies I used are listed and linked below.  Please don’t forget to use my coupon code “Priscilla10” for 10% off your order at the shop.
