When Black Cats Prowl . . . | Halloween Slimline Card

Hi Everyone, it’s Priscilla here. Today I want to share a slimline shaker card I made for the Kat Scrappiness Blog featuring the new “Slimline Wood Grain Framed Diamond Wire” die and the Kat Scrappiness fan favorite this time of year, the Halloween-themed “Toil and Trouble Layered Stamp Set with Matching Dies.”

I started with a slimline card base from purple card stock (8.5″ x 7″, scored at 3.5″ inches.) Using the new “Diamond Wire” die, I cut  the front of this shaker card from silver card stock for a “chain-link fence” look.

I ink blended Distress Oxide Inks in “Twisted Citron,” “Carved Pumpkin,” and “Wilted Violet” to create a spooky backdrop for my shaker elements, Kat‘s “Pick Your Poison” and “Eye Candy” sprinkles.

I adhered a slimline-sized clear acetate sheet on the back of the “Diamond Wire” layer and foamed mounted it over the sprinkles and ink blended background. With my shaker completed, I then added the Halloween elements on top –  a die cut Spooky tree and bat from the “Crafters Essentials- Fall” die collection, a pumpkin colored and cut from the “Happy Fall Y’all” stamp set, and the 3-step stamp layered black cat plus the sentiment from the “Toil and Trouble Layered Stamp Set with Matching Dies.” Finally, I added a stamped and die cut purple moon from my stash.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Don’t forget to check out what’s NEW in Kat’s Shop, and follow my blog and Instagram for more “Kat Scrappiness Amazingness”!

Stay Safe . . .
